I acquired a 4x4 tranny pan that will replace my 2wd pan and hold a bit more fluid. I already have the 4wd filter and gasket, as well as a drain plug kit, and the tranny temp gauge kit. Where on the pan is the best place to put the sender for the temp gauge? I was thinking along the side (since the sides of the pan are a bit longer than my 2wd pan, it should have clearance) but I want to make sure I don't have any issues with clearing anything inside the tranny. Here's a pic (from the projects section) for reference.

Thanks!

Side is the best, But you have to worry about the clearance...

On the PML pan it would be on the bottom of the pass side..
