Which is the most efficient load rating for the ST when TT/SL lifted? 6C, 8D, 10E?

6 ply C is fine, a Trac won't carry enought weight to need a D or E tire. You can use a D but it will ride a lot harder. E's will flat spot and rattle your teeth until they round out. I just have P-rated 265's, they're fine for me.

Answered your other post too. 4ply "will deliver a good ride, cornering, performance on and off-road" and are the standard. I have Michelin M/S. They work good on the highway and moderate off-roading... A more agressive tread tire will do better off-road and be more noisy on the highway, but that has nothing to do with the number of plys in the tire.

6 ply might be ok if you are going to haul heavy loads, but they will be a hard tire. 8 and 10 ply will be hard as a rock, and I see no reason to use them on the ST. The more plys are usually used to handle more weight, but the STs will be overloaded if you put enough weight in them based on the tire ply rating of even a 6 ply tire..

I had 10 ply tires on a F250 that I used to haul green(wet) oak firewood. Needed the 10 ply tires for the weight, as 4 ply would have been way overloaded. Great when hauling a big load, but hard as a rock when unloaded.
