wife is in the hospital

just back from the hospital. wifey had emergency herniated disc surgery in her neck.

everything went well and she is staying overnight.

her disc was extremely herniated and was pinching and damaging a nerve. she had been in pain for about 3 weeks and finally after an mri late last week the spine surgeon advised that she should not wait as it could cause more and permenant damage.

pretty wild, they go thru the front/side of the neck remove the disc and take a bone replacement from her hip and insert where the disc was. a small plate is installed to assist the bonding.

recovery is about 6 weeks and she should be back to normal. :love:
