Hello, I need new tires for my 2003 sport trac and found a set of rims for a 2004 explorer sport with new tires. The tires are size 245/65r17 107h. Can anyone tell me if these rims and tires will bolt right on my 03 trac? Thanks

The 2-door Explorer Sport was dropped after 2003. The 2004 4-door Explorer has different backspacing, and I think different bolt pattern. So, they more than likely won't fit.

Thanks for the quick reply. It does look like the 2004 rims and tires are from a 4-door explorer 4x4. Can anyone confirm if the wheels will or will not fit on my 2003 trac? Thanks Again

The bolt pattern is the same on all Explorers, however the new body style 4-doors have a higher offset and will require spacers, otherwise they will be tucked way into the wheel well, and probably won't clear your front hubs if your truck is 2wd.

I put a spare pair of 04 Explorer wheels on my 02 to get it home. As you can see the offset really tucks them back under the fenders and looks fugged up! Granted the rear ens was a bit out of line but you get the idea.

I think the 03-up Explorer wheels have about the same offset as Mustang wheels .... same bolt pattern for sure. I put a set of old 87 Crown Vic wheels on my parts car and they look about right. They were even 15" wheels.

They will bolt on but will Require spacers... Min 1.25 all around.
