Tried it with the pin, being very careful not to go very deep. I screwed up the spray--now it just dribbles out in a splat, instead of the distributed spray.
That's the way I always adjusted mine. I use a pin or a needle in the squirt hole, and lever the nozzle up, down, left or right as needed.
I prefer to have my washers hit close to the top of the windshield. That way when you are driving at 70-75 MPH the headwind will make the washer fluid hit in the middle of the windshield.
