wump wump noise

I'm getting this wump wump noise I think from the rear. It doesn't seem very consistent and varies sometimes kind of feels like i'm driving in the snow.

How many miles? General maintenance history?
When does noise happen:
~ certain speeds?
~ turning left\right?
~ braking\accelerating\coasting?
~ AC on\off?
Any recent events: potholes, colllsions,, tires\wheels\brakes, maintenance...?
Tire pressure Ok?

Well I feel stoopid...
I changed the left rear tire after getting a flat I must have had the tire on funny or something because I'm pretty sure I made sure to go over the lug nuts a couple of extra times. Well low and behold they weren't
