I have a stupid question concerning buying with the Ford x-plan. What vehicles are available to be purchased with the plan. Most of the dealers in Kentucky also have Mazda cars available. Since ford has a minority part in Mazda, would they also be included in the plan. Thanks for your info on this matter.

It is called the *S* plan and there are more restrictions, you may need to ask the Mazda dealer for the *S* specialist and get more info.

have a good one

Yes, no negotiation.

No list price, You get the price off the invoice directly from the dealer.

According to my company's X-plan generating site, Mazda is included with the X-plan and should accept it no questions asked. The site goes as far as to say exactly which vehicles can be purchased with an X-plan.

If I can deal below invoice on a new Ford, does that mean that I am receiving a better deal than Xplan? Meaning, would it be more beneficial to just negotiate down to invoice or below, instead of naming the price right up front, which will be higher than I could negotiate?

Is that the catch Ford uses?

It's a question.

Mud, you usually can not negotiate better than the X-plan price. While you can negotiate below invoice, it's still usually not as low as X-plan. Also, with X-plan purchases you get reduced cost on document fees and things like that which often add additional $$$ to your overal savings.

Edit: Also, the X-plan price is printed directly on the invoice so you immediately see it's below invoice. No, it's not a catch that Ford uses, it's actualy a method that clearly shows X-plan customers how much they are actually saving over invoice (and of course MSRP).
