XM 49 is now Big Tracks. Today is the second day on the air. It plays hits from the 80s and 90s. I have been listening for a couple of hours now, and it is pretty awesome. :D

XM 46 - Top Tracks will eventually be changed to play only 60s and 70s hits. I think that idea will fail. I cannot imagine many people listening to Chuck Berry, Kansas, AC/DC, KC and The Sunshine Band, Queen and Elvis on the same channel. Top Tracks has been my favorite channel the whole time I've owned my radio (over 15 months now), but will soon be a backup when I am burned out on the Big Tracks, Lucy and Ethel.

For online listeners, I stumbled upon this cool applet which will play XM on your computer. I installed it about 30 mins ago, and it works a lot better than MS Internet Explorer's web page interface.

Glad you guys like it. I have noticed a couple of good things about it. One is that it won't shutdown the music if you are idle for a while. It just plays until you turn it off. The other is that you can save the username and password so you don't have to re-enter it all the time. Those two things used to annoy me with the windows interface. XM Rocks more now!

I discovered another neat feature. You can set the program to watch for your favorite artists. When an artist's song begins, a pop-up appears which will allow you to switch channels by clicking on it. Pretty cool

Chris,

I have been listening to a lot more music since downloading this program and even discovered some new channels, since I have several of my favorite artist's in my notify menu now. I didn't even know about the AOL sessions channels until I loaded the new program.
