I can't wait!!!!...................for all the Food-on-a-stick that is!! Too bad it only comes once a year. The best 12 days of the summer:banana::driving::love:

Bud, I thought the same thing, especially when I saw the non-sequitor Cheetos ad...

Never really got in to prog rock...and how do you people get your info on State Fairs? Must be a midwest thing...I haven't been to mine in 5 years or so. I have no eye-deah who or what is going to be at my MD state fair.

Then I suspect that, like me, you'll think this is sacriledge...

Target Field has several State Fair-inspired food items, including several items "on-a-stick". I know "pork chop on-a-stick" is one. But then they have "walleye on-a-SPIKE"! What the...? It's the same piece of wood that they use on the pork chops--but one item has it called a "stick" on the sign, while the other is a "spike".

My only guess is that some food vendor at the fair must have "walleye on a stick" trademarked, and so they had to use this name as "Plan B". In which case--I understand it, but it's still awful.

KL- maybe it's a midwestern thing, but they release info throughout the year- mostly for our Grandstand acts. There also is a website for the MN state fair, not sure about other states. Texas has the longest state fair, I think its a month long, but MN has the most attended and is considered one of, if not the largest state fair in the U.S. I haven't missed a state fair since I can remember, I think I've gone every year I've been alive, (not too sure about years 1-3)

Andy, FYI, whether TX or MN has the largest state fair depends on your measurement method. TX's has the most attendees--but as you mentioned, it's over three weeks long. MN's is only 12 days long, and has what is believed to be the largest average daily attendance.

I have an extra ticket. 3rd row dead center.
