About to pick up my XT3

After lowering the front 1" and upgrading to bilsteins (thanks for all the advice) my next step was to get the XT3. For those of you who already have one, are there any last minute things I should know before plugging it in and zapping the computer? I've got a road trip this weekend to...

    Addco Swaybars VS Eibach

About to buy new sway bars for my '04 4wd. From what I've read, EE on the back is the way to go. For the front, I'm torn between the eibach (35mm) and the addco (1.5"). Price isn't an issue. My priorities are safety, reliability, and performance.

    Shocks: Monroe VS Rancho

Just TT lowered my 04 about an inch and now I'm going to order new shocks all around. My main goal is to improve highway handling. If money wasn't an issue for you guys, which schock would you go with? Looking to get stabilizer/anti roll bars upgraded too

Lowering (or height adjustable) for better highway handling

I have an '04 v6 4x4 auto with the torsion bar suspension. It's a little too high for my wife to get in and out of comfortably. I also really don't like the way it handles on the highway. I am trying to find the best and most reliable way to either have a height adjustable suspension...

    All Terrain's

thanks for pointing that out. i don't drive through mud that often. the reason i prefer the bfg at is our st was a daily driver for a very long time, but we do like to get rugged when we travel with our truck. deepest mud i've dealt with was about ankle/calf deep and it did take a little...

    All Terrain's

i was considering bf goodrich mud terrains but the sound and shitty braking power of them made me go with the bf goodrich all-terrains. i live in a very remote part of canada. they're very popular up here. they're not bad in the snow either, so they can hold you over if you get surprised by a...

Just Moved To Canada--Winterizing My Sport Trac

Just moved to a pretty cold spot in canada and I want to make sure I keep my truck reliable up here. Any tips on winterizing your sport tracs? So far, I've gotten the studded nokians at 215/85R16 (that was about as narrow as I could get) and installed a block warmer. Anyone else who lives in...

Strange scratching sound coming from dash while using cruise control

Strange thing has been happinging. While driving in cruise control at around 50 mph, the dash board makes a strange scratching noise when the truck goes up a hill, or does anything that strains it a little. It doesn't do this at higher/lower speeds.

Looking for 1.5" and 2" spacers for a 2004 sport trac.

    Drilling into the bed

It won't be bearing any load--this is the rail that just guides the cover and seals out the weather. The heaviest load it will bear is if the truck gets covered in snow.

    Drilling into the bed

Does anyone think I can mount the guide rails for my pace edward top right to the bed? The back part has factory brackets, so that's all set but the front part doesn't have one, so I'm considering just drilling a big hole on either side and just bolting it. The plastic in the bed seems...

    Considering a 2004 sport trac

What should I look for in the truck? Are they known for anything drastic like rusting on the frame or anything else like that? It's got 48000 miles, single owner, no major wear on the seats or pedals or anything on the interior, no signs of rust, and was regularly maintained. They're asking...
