    Off-road bumpers

A Ranger bumper would fit. Just remember the grill is part of the bumper(cover) for the Sport Trac where is separate on the Ranger.

    Rear Brake Drum Stuck

You will need 2 long skinny flat tip screw drivers. From the adjustment window you will use 1 to push the adjuster lever away from the adjust screw and the other will have to rotate the adjuster screw in. The shoes have worn into the drum and there is a small lip preventing you from pulling the...

2002 FST - No brake pedal when Engine is running and no codes for ABS. What am i missing?

You could put your old brake booster back on. I'm thinking there may be an adjustment with the plunger between the master cylinder and the booster. Otherwise bleed the breaks again with a tool that will activate the antilock break module to get any air out of it. I think mine does that but I...

    2004 Sport Trac

I would say they are a lot more compatible than you think. I would look into getting a cam from CompCams(?) and some higher flow injectors like dark blue 24lb/hr. Then you would raise the horsepower from 160 to 220ish or more. I think the “X” engine is better than the “E” engine.

    Ford Vehicle Security System

If it cranks and runs, it is not the security system built in by the factory. I would look at the fuel pump and it fuel filter and see if you are getting fuel to the injectors. Factory and dealer installed security systems are 2 different things.

07' Sport Trac 4.0 Oil Leaks

I got a local dealer to do it. Mine went out at 179K. They gave me 3 options: trade my truck in, cassettes only, or reman Fred Jones engine. Cassettes came with 12month/12K mile warranty, long block came with 3yr/36K mile warranty. I opted for the long block because I was doing a lot of driving...

07' Sport Trac 4.0 Oil Leaks

The engine will need to be removed to change the passenger side timing chain and maybe tensioner. The price difference between changing the cassettes, as they are called at Ford, versus a reman engine is very low. I went with the reman engine for the 3yr/36K mile warranty.

How do I unlock my Bed cover on my 2005 SportTrac

A past member had a project where he added pull cords inside. Search: Rich Lunder

Engine seems to misfire at 2K

I would say dirty injector(s) but not dirty enough to give you a lean mixture code. Maybe a fuel filter?

    Catless Y-Pipe?

Why not fix the issue of what’s making them clogged?

    2001 ST, Motor died today

I think the 4.0L OHV “X” is a much better engine. Comp Cams used to make a cam for it.

    Scan Tool

I have Blue Driver and I like it. If I buy another one it will have the option to bleed the ABS brake module.

Look what came out of my truck today

I used high dollar locking plug wires once and mine looked like those.
