Anyone here add helper springs to their ST or is add a leaf better? I have looked at the Roadmaster active suspension, a little pricey.
also looked at Monroe Load Adjusting Shock & Coil Spring Assemble and see mixed reviews. ( my mounts are in good shape i think they would survive.

05 ST XLT 4x4 If you have helper springs what type?

The reason i want to add these is that we purchased a small camper will be hauling between 3500-4000 lbs and tongue weight 360-400. the back squats too much.

Thanks
Larry

I've add-a-leaf and they have worked well. Raises it 1-2 and stiffens the springpack a bit.

i would look at air ride, you can ride it soft or run stiff, it runs way smoother then add a leaf, my kid ran some on a 03 and it sagged with a cargo and 2 bikes, barely helped his and it did not lift it any. unless you change the arc of the springs it will not lift, there usually flat and help stiffen the stock springs when loaded as they push down,

you can find them still, i have been running mine for 17 years and it works awesome.
