Has anyone ever broken their recliner seat handle? Its the handle on the lower part of the seat to recline up or down. What have you guys done to replace them? Any one have used ones for sale.

Where is the link please? I do not see anything below. It happens more frequently than folks think. The sides of the seat lose their rigidity and when folks slide in and out, it bends it down. See the link below for the fix.
This post is from 2008 !!!!!! All that info is lost and gone by now.Where is the link please? I do not see anything below.

These are the manuals.. not electric...I switched all my seats to manually ... last forever and fall back further for sleeping..junkyards are 50 bucks in Orlando...seats last a long time if you grease them2000 ford explorer has the best seat metal materials....and last forever...just threw one out Friday......2003 and up S/T went plastic and they break easy...
You are on your own. I found replacements in a junk yard after a few failed attempts to adapt other handles.
No, He shared the link. Very helpful. This post is from 2008 !!!!!! All that info is lost and gone by now.
That metal fabricated monstrosity looks awful. Best to just find a good pair in a boneyard. I did that and they look like new.
Sure, but after calling 15 junk yards over a month with no success I just want my seat to recline. Besides I would need to pay someone to remove the seat, remove the parts, remove my seat and install. That's more than my truck is worth.^ Agree, fugly as hell and would never be on my Trac.
Just sharing the link that was mentioned and not posted.
Junk yards won't just sell you the handle unless you can find one that lets you pull the parts yourself. It's not hard to get them off. You can already see what tools you'll need by looking at the hardware on your truck. I have a whole portable kit I put together, so I was carrying way more than I neededSure, but after calling 15 junk yards over a month with no success I just want my seat to recline. For my 2001 the entire seat has to be removed to remove the handle. We are not all physically capable of doing that.Junk yards won't just sell you the handle unless you can find one that lets you pull the parts yourself. It's not hard to get them off.
