Maybe everyone already knew about this but I recently learned about it so I wanted to share. I am blown away at how well this worked. I cannot recommend this enough. I wish I had know about this for my previous vehicles.

Apparently Solution Finish has a dye in it that permanently stains the black plastic trim back to original color. I was completely skeptical when I tried it but the results are awesome. It's super easy to do and took 10 years of age off of the truck. A 2oz bottle did all of my trim with a little left over. It doesn't stain the paint and it's super easy to do. I simply did a self service car wash ($4) and sprayed the trim clean before applying. I could have done a much better job but the results are still great.

The after pics are 2 weeks and 3 automatic car washes later. Most of the reviews say that it lasts about 12-18 months before you need to reapply.

Yep, that's it. I'll try to update over the course of the year but early on impression, I'm completely blown away. If it even makes it 6 months (garage, daily driver) it'll be worth it.

I just ordered a bottle yesterday from Amazon, thanks for sharing the results.

You're welcome! Just a heads up their website says to spray it with iso alcohol before applying. I didn't do that but it makes sense that it might make it penetrate deeper into the plastic.

Ahh, thanks for the tip. That kinda does makes sense. I'll be sure to pick up some iso alcohol and apply it, before putting on the Solution Finish.

Just got a bottle and am also blown away at the improvement! Time will tell, but looks fantastic!

did you do tonneau cover also ?
wonder what members are using for that and how long it seems to last ?

Not yet. My cover is in pretty good shape so I didn't want to risk it yet. I think it would work but I'm letting someone else roll the dice on that one.

Does it leave a sticky residue?
