I calculate my mileage the old way. Pen and paper. I'm not saying that the truck does it every time, but it did do it the other day.
Before I bought it, the previous owner had changed plugs etc. (Not saying that THAT is the miracle cure for better mileage, but didn't hurt the mileage any).
The in town driving I'm talking about is through an area where I didn't have a lot of stop lights etc. AND, I babied it at stop lights, because I was shooting for good gas mileage. In all honesty, as I've gotten older, I pamper my trucks when I drive them. No jack rabbit starts etc. Hell, I pretty much drive the exact speed limit !!! LOL
My tires are phenomenal !!!!! Ride is great, wear is great. I'm a odd duck I guess, but when the oil is changed on all of our vehicles, the tires are rotated !!
We have the Michelin's on all of our trucks except my wifes 2017 King Ranch. It has a set of GoodYears on it. They're Wranglers. NOT sure exactly which ones. BUT, they've been OK. However my wifes 2017 KR just turned 20K on the meter. The truck is a garage queen !!!!! If I do trade the truck, part ot the trade deal will be that the Michelin's on my truck will be put on the 2017, and the GoodYears to be put on the traded truck. I just put the Michelin's on my truck, and they have minimal miles on them.
We're considering trading my 2015 KR off sometime after the first of the year for a new KR. I did see in all of the pics on AutoTrader that ALL of the new KR trucks have Pirelli tires on them. THOSE will come off at the time of purchase. I hate Pirelli's !!!
There will be a set of the Defenders on it !!!
