In case anyone is looking for this answer in the future ... the pivot pins are SCREWS, and self-tap into the smooth shafts in the bed. Just make sure not to over-tighten them. Thanks to everyone's help in this forum!

I special-ordered some hardware, but what I got are threaded bolts. The inserts in the bed are smooth. Did I get the right type of pin? Should I expect to tap out the inside of those smooth inserts when I force the pivot bolts in there? Or is there some other type of pivot pin I'm looking for?

The cage has two pins on it already. They have an "in" and an "out" position, but when fully extended they are still not extended enough to attach to anything in the bed. Pivot pins? I'll go looking for those. Thanks for the suggestions.

I recently purchased a used bed extender from eBay, and now I need the mounting brackets. Where are these available (online)? Or does anybody know the part number to help me in my search? Thanks!
