    Front Suspension Rebuild

Yup, I wonder if the previous owner was a member here, because it already had the Moog front links and reflex shocks when I got her. The parts are all in now. Drivers side took me about 5 hours, passenger side took about 3 as I got a little experience and there is a lot more room to access the...

    Front Suspension Rebuild

Probably will go with Rock Auto, just seeing if there is anything I should take care of while I'm swapping these parts: 2x Moog K8695T Ball Joint 1x Moog K80068 Front Upper Control Arm and Ball Joint 1x Moog K8708T Control Arm with Ball Joint 2x Moog K80065 Cam Bolt Kit 1x Raybestos...

    Front Suspension Rebuild

My Trac just rolled past 106k and I'm getting ready for this years' vehicle inspection. Last year I needed a right side wheel bearing hub assembly, which ended up costing my $400 to have done. I'm guessing by now it's probably worth replacing the other side and other worn suspension parts on...

Driver's side parking lamp out, signals work

I don't have any experience tracking down harness issues, which looks like this probably is. The switch must be functioning properly if the right passenger side is working. To do it right, It's probably best to find out where the right and left sides split and then work toward the light. I...

Driver's side parking lamp out, signals work

Not sure what you're getting at. I realize that there isn't a specific fuse for the left, which steered me away from fuses, as the right parking lamp works fine. I just checked the wires in the steering column and didn't see anything odd, so I tried removing both connectors, and the right...

Driver's side parking lamp out, signals work

Thank you both, I'll take a look this evening and report back.

Driver's side parking lamp out, signals work

Thanks. I tried moving the tilt with no luck. I actually keep it all the way up normally. I'll try checking the wiring near the steering wheel to see if I can find anything that looks off.

Questions About Replacing 2004 Adrenalin/Pioneer Head Unit

I just did this a couple months ago. There are 2 quirks, the first being getting low level inputs to the amp, since you can't just connect line level inputs to it. The main speaker wires that come out of the receiver's harness are already amplified, so they can't be used. The factory amp...

Driver's side parking lamp out, signals work

A couple of days ago I had my driver's side parking lamp go out. I swapped bulbs with the passenger side and confirmed with a multimeter that the wire is not hot at the connector anymore when the parking lights are turned on. Does anyone have any info on how I can track the problem down? I...

    '04 Adrenaline Amp Power

Does anyone know if the '04 Adrenaline factory amp is 510 watt rating is RMS or peak? Judging by a quick glance and puny wiring, I'm guessing it's peak, but figured I'd ask. Thanks!

Engine Loses Power Momentarily, Code P0193

Thanks for the follow-up Adam. I went ahead and ordered a sensor from Torrie. It looks like there is a new part number than the original, so I'm hoping the new one will arrive and that it's been revised,as it seems this part is a common failure (maybe not so much on tracs, but the other Ford...

Engine Loses Power Momentarily, Code P0193

Thanks. I had seen that thread before, but unfortunately there isn't an outcome posted. The pressure sensor seems like a common failure...from the looks of it many mustang owners keep a spare (same part #) in the car.

Engine Loses Power Momentarily, Code P0193

Last Friday I noticed that twice, upon accelerating from a stop, my track would start to move fine, then lose engine power for a split second and then run normally. The second time, it tripped my CEL and code P0193 (fuel pressure rail sensor, etc.). I got up the next day, ran to the parts...

    Harmonic Balancer Failure

I'd replace the belt with the 1/2" shorter one Bob...it's possible that the belt isn't worn but has something on it. Mine had a little squeak when turning sharp at slow speed for a while after I was careless with some engine detail spray. In my case, the harmonic balancer failure was...

    Headlight Projectors

If you go HID, you need to make a wiring harness so that your stock sockets are only triggering a relay, and the main power comes directly from the battery. You'll be safe running halogen projectors from your stock sockets, but i'm not sure if halogen projectors are made to use the same bulb...

    Harmonic Balancer Failure

You'll know Bob...Mine started squealing really bad because the belt was slipping (when the harmonic balancer separated, my belt stayed on track but the portion of the balancer that the belt is supposed to ride in slid back toward the engine about an inch. There is more slack in the system, so...

    Harmonic Balancer Failure

all fixed, 389$ installed for harmonic balancer (plus 85$ from yesterday - belt, idler pulley, and tension pulley). Unfortunately, I park in a parking garage, so I would have had to drive it out anyway to get towed, then the shop was a couple more minutes away. On a side note - Jack...

    Headlight Projectors

+1 on custom made. It's an expensive and timely project, you'll need a spare set of headlights if it's your only vehicle. My HID retrofit ran about 600$ in parts and a couple weeks working a few hours a day after work. I'll try to dig up a pic.

    Harmonic Balancer Failure

Should I be OK driving another 3 miles to the shop? The belt is staying on the rubbery portion of the harmonic balancer reliably, and is spinning everything fine with minimal sqeaking. I know i'd have to keep an eye on temp in case it came off.
