Interesting... I never head water sloshing from a cracked radiator tank. When mine cracked, I saw corrosion on the alum crimps around the tank edge, so just replaced the radiator with OEM. Crazy how problems can be the same but appear different for the same vehicle!

My 2003 XLT had that same problem with the sound of water sloshing. It turned out to be water accumulating in the body rocker panels b/c the drains were clogged.
