My 4 wheel drive doe not she any lights or activity when switching it

Most likely the module/transfer case. They are often neglected but do require routine maintenance. Located just behind passenger side kick panel as Todd mentioned. Not too expensive to replace. Search youtube for how-tos. If you cant find a video with a sport trac try a ranger 4.0 as they have...

    02 Pioneer Edition Rough Idle

I had this issue too. My problem was a dirty throttle body. If you havent already, clean the MAF sensor and throttle body. You can find both cleaners cheap at walmart. When you clean the throttle body, take it off the truck and clean the BACK. Thats the filthy part. Noticeable difference guaranteed!

    3 brake light

I purchased a similar 3rd brake light for cheap off eBay. I cut off the useless plug and wired it directly. Actually I wired it so the whole thing lights up when I brake. I lost my cargo light, but gained some extra brake light for visibility. Beware, mine did not fit perfectly flush, so I had...

    OEM Hard Tonneau cover protectant

I use armorall plastic restorer on mine. It doesn't last too long, but it does protect the cover from sun and rain.

DVDSWAN 02 Sport Trac Build/Maintenance thread

Bring every tool you own. If you don't bring it, you'll need it :) A lot of junkyards have wheelbarrows you can use to carry tools and parts. Btw, when you have the intake off it's a good time to clean your MAF sensor and throttle body. I just did this the other day, only takes a few minutes. I...

    Trim Restoration

Yeah, the wipes said they were made for black plastic, but they worked just fine on grey. And yes, the majority of the wipes were used on the bumpers.

    ST on the beach

A few weeks ago I finally got the chance to take the ST on the beach. I purchased a week-long permit to drive on Cape Hatteras National Seashore (located on the OBX of North Carolina), which cost about $50. Overall it was a blast. The truck performed very well. I got a tire deflator and small...

    Drove a 2023 Maverick

According to Ford, the ST was discontinued due to poor sales in the later years. Personally, I think the ST being discontinued was the result of increased government regulations concerning fuel efficiency to weight ratio. This was the death of most SUVs and small trucks with frames. This is also...

    Trim Restoration

I finally got around to trying the cerakote wipes. The results are pretty darn good. About as good as it gets after a truck sits in the sun for 22 years. We'll see about longevity. Ill keep y'all posted. Make sure you clean the cladding well with dawn and rubbing alcohol. It takes two boxes to...
