Strange pulsing whine in speakers caused by bluetooth

Nope, not it. Phone is easily taken out of the equation. I left it out of range, turned off bluetooth, even just turn it off completely.

    Ticking noise

Sounds like one of your hamsters blew out a flip-flop. Common issue. ;) Damn, that sucks. Does it change with engine rpm? Is it coming from the dash? Something stuck in the blower fan?

Strange pulsing whine in speakers caused by bluetooth

Today's experiments... Factory reset, no joy. Removed the 8pin harness adaptor (amp control) to reduce the amount of wires, no joy. Got back with Crutchfield and arranged a return. It has to be either a bad unit or an issue with JVC's design. Going to try the same model again and hope it's...

Strange pulsing whine in speakers caused by bluetooth

Been working with Crutchfield (tried all their suggustions so far to no avail) and have also posted on r/CarAV (no help yet though). Searches lead only to bluetooth issues while playing (static, popping, etc.). Maybe someone here has dealt with this before... Having a freaky little problem...

    Cigarette light port mod

This has been my experience. Yeah, an LED or two is an almost inconsequential drain and, if your battery is healthy, it would take weeks to make a dent. But, batteries do not stay healthy and you could get stuck far from home. I don't want to have to remember to power down this or that circuit...

    Cigarette light port mod

The chances that such a small drain will kill the battery is very low but not zero. I have had it happen before when I left a power transformer plugged-in in my old Caravan, while at SeaWorld. Granted, maybe the battery was already on the way out. An always hot accessory port can come in handy...

    Cigarette light port mod

    Nice. Thank you.

    Cigarette light port mod

The stupid cigarette lighter ports are always energized, even when the truck is off. Are there any easily accessible wires around there so I can mod one of them to only come on when the truck is running? Maybe come off the radio harness since I'm about to be in there and change the head unit...

    turn signal

Not laughing at all bro. I figured that was where the issue was. If you can hear the relay ticking away quickly then the issue is likely downstream from there.

    Heater 05 Sport Trac

Heater control valve... Post in thread 'No heat help please' No heat help please Flush and back-flush heater core. Is the rest of the A/C working correctly? Blend door, fan, etc?

Check Engine comes on when driving 65+ mph sustained

    Um.. what's the code?

    turn signal

Seems to me that the problem would have to be downstream of the relay not in the steering column. Could be wrong though. Try giving the connectors at the lamps a good cleaning and a blob of dielectric grease. Couldnt hurt. Bulbs are cheap (unless you converted to LED) so might want to change it...

2008 Sport Trac Vents go warm but not HOT!

I would suggest first performing a flush and back-flush of the heater core, they do get clogged up. Simple procedure that could very well solve the issue without digging in the dash.

    P0775. B shift solenoid malfunction.

Is possible that it is as simple as overly dirty fluid, check the fluid. Could also be low fluid, check the level and fill it if needed, then you need to find out why it's low (locate leaks). Could be electrical, blocked fluid pathways, mechanical. Best of luck to you.

Welcome! Wish I still had my '86 Tbird, one of my top two favorite cars that I have owned.

    Trac will not start

Does your steering wheel adjust up and down? The wires in there can get pinched and crapped up over time. Try adjusting the steering wheel around and see if it has an effect.

    Trac will not start

You wiggled what, the key? Why would you replace the starter if wiggling the key made it start?

    Trac will not start

Just getting this out of the way... is the theft light flashing or is it going out as normal?

Squeak changes with RPM after Thermostat replacement

Yeah, probably not good. Same reason why you should never hose down your bike or skateboard. Water, rag, and wipe down. I have some expensive BMX bikes with sealed bearings all around and some RC cars which have more sealed bearings in a small space than just about anything. The plastic shields...
