    Door Hinge Pin Replacement

Make sure your body mount bushings are good first. The fore and aft ones don't deteriorate fast at all but the two middles ones rot out quick, leading to the body sagging, leading to the doors not working well. If they are bad then no amount of new hinge parts are going to help. Replace them...

    AC & Heat vents

Damn, I wish could help you out but there is a whole country between us. Best I can do for you would be to take my glove box out and trace down those lines and see if it can be done without ripping the dash apart. Mine is an '01j2 though so don't know if it is the same up in there.

    AC & Heat vents

Is that the only damage? Is that pic taken through the glove box opening? If so, find the other ends and patch them yourself. Cost a few bucks. Find some tubing the size and type of the original. Find some other, slightly softer, tubing that fits snuggly around the smaller stuff. Push it all...

2008 Sport Trac Misfire & Bank System Too Lean

The PCV valve should be on the driver's side valve cover, in the back between it and the firewall. Pop off the hose and give it a twist. It's a bit of a pain but doable. If you have the time and gumption you could swap #2 injector with another cylinder and see if the issue follows the injector...

    Hose Identification

The one-piece has to be cast so it is more expensive (around three times or so). The two-piece is CNC'd so it is cheaper. In theory the one-piece should be "better", in practice... probably doesn't matter.

    Hose Identification

$30 for a small chunk of hose... nope.. Pull it off and head to your local parts shop. Say "gimme something that looks like this" and then trim it to fit. RA also has many molded coolant elbows that are trim to fit for around $7-10. Look in 'cooling system -> coolant hose/pipe' and 'heat and...

If you want something done right …

LED -> Light Emiting Diode. A diode will only allow current to flow in one direction. If someone tells you polarity doesn't matter they don't know what they are talking about.

    AC & Heat vents

Same mechanic that did your brakes? Sure seems like he really likes that number. Get a second opinion if you can. If you can track down the vacuum leak yourself, with the help of the thread swshawaii posted, it could cost you as little as a few bucks for some hose.

Paint issues anyone? What do you think about this?

Yes, it's common. Ford doesn't have a good painting track record. I believe there was even a recall issued for some newer models because of this exact thing. It's happening on my truck and my plan is to grind and sand it all down, prep and seal it, then get it wrapped and hope it holds up.

    AC & Heat vents

Looks like three options to me... - Pay the guy to do it, cost will probably go up once it's apart and he sees the extent of the damage. - Rip it apart yourself and save a ton of cash in exchange for your time. - Forget about it and use what my old man called '2/55 AC'. Mice like to chew wires...

new to ST's. Bought a 2004 two weeks ago

Welcome! Since you are possibly doing the timing chain tensioners... consider also replacing the crappy plastic thermostat housing with an aluminum one. The front tensioner is so much easier to deal with if the thermostat housing is off. And if you are removing it there is no point in putting...

    Roof Rail Trim

LOL! Nah, I won't be making any of these unless I decide to make a set for my truck only. I asked the guy if he would be willing to share his models but got politely declined. Not wanting to step the man's toes, not my way.

    Roof Rail Trim

Nice! I have been searching for this for a long time. Not sure why it never came up in the results. It looks easy enough to make out of bulk media though, with a little trial and error.

    2003 Rear Bumper "pad"

They are only held in 'push tab' style, so to speak. Twenty years does its job on plastics. You could grab all those little broken bits that are still in the holes and try to re-fuse them back on but it won't hold up well. Could also just say 'to hell with it' and glue the whole thing back down...

Rough Idle, motor dies while low rpm in motion. P1121

P1121 is a manufacturer specific code. It is not standard OBD2 so it has different meanings depending on the manufacturer. If the scanner you have can read Ford specific codes your fine, if not then you need one that can.

Rough Idle, motor dies while low rpm in motion. P1121

Yup, ever since then that is what I do. Sometimes they even look at me funny when I say "let's just call it an '02".

Rough Idle, motor dies while low rpm in motion. P1121

I think the MAF may also be different between J1 and J2. Many years ago I told the Autozone guy I needed one for an '01, he gave me what was listed in his computer. Installed it and the truck ran worse. Took it back and he checked the numbers. Told him my truck was a J2 and he had no idea what I...

    Roof Rail Trim

There was once a guy on ebay that 3d printed them. I searched but could not find it again. If I had one I would try and model it for print but both of mine are gone.

    Transmission info

Well, they can't diagnose what they can't reproduce. Just like you and me, they can throw as many parts at it as you are willing to pay for but can't gaurantee it will fix the problem. Take it to a local shop with good reviews. Avoid quick-change places like the plague.
