    "Check Gage" Warning Light 2002

As a side note, if you are that low and the light comes on, do not park on a hill nose down.

2007 Ford Explorer sport trac transmission rebuild

My 1st gen was a 5R55E and it cost me $1600 to have a reputable transmission shop rebuild mine, in a couple days. Not to mention you get warranty from a shop unlike the 90ft/90sec warranty from home.

    Changing Fuel pump

Even if you remove the bed you still cannot change the fuel pump. You can see the fuel pump if you look down between the bed and the cab. There is only one strap that holds the tank, the forward end of the tank has a flange that bolts to a crossmember.

    Changing Fuel pump

I didn’t use plywood for mine, it’s no different than the tank itself. I did use a floor Jack and let it down slowly until I could get my arm on top of the tank. On mine, the pressure line and return line had a connection that you pinch to remove. The hardest part was trying to see where to...

    Changing Fuel pump

You could use something like a cotter pin puller and just slip the tang between the hose and the nipple. The hose deteriorates over time and sticks like glue. Once you think you’ve separated enough of it you can twist it on the nipple and pull it off.

    Changing Fuel pump

Because of the 2 bends in the fuel fill line, you can’t get your siphon hose down. Remove the spare tire and you can get to the hose clamp for the fill line, if I remember right, you need a 7/32 socket. Then you can stick your hose in the tank.

    Battery Problem

They are just expensive AGM batteries and if you needed a special charger for them then they would not be suitable for automobiles.

A/C Compressor Engaged Regardless of Setting on A/C Switch

Try unplugging the A/C clutch and see if it still runs

A/C Compressor Engaged Regardless of Setting on A/C Switch

The only time the compressor does not engage is when you select Off, Panel, or Floor. If your compressor runs in the Off position either the clutch is stuck or your switch has issues. Does it at least cool? If so there would be no reason to break open the system and replace the compressor.

    Battery Problem

My battery was dying after a couple days. I bought one of those Capacitor based jump boxes to keep me from being stranded. I checked everything associated with charging and all fuses. When I checked the fuses, the radio was it. I would pull both the radio and the amp. Eventually I found a...

    Code Reader recomendations

I have the BlueDriver and like ok, it has a hard time with my Volvo. I wanted the OBDLink MX but it wasn’t compatible with iOS. the next one I get will have ABS functions for bleeding.

    Leaking rims

You could find a wheel refinisher in your area and they will make your wheel as good as it better than new. I had my wife’s Volvo wheels redone for $125 each. That was repair, repolish, remount/balance tires. I thought I had to buy aftermarket or junkyard replacements but the shop had some on...

    Overheating

If your housing is not secure with that 3rd bolt then your coolant is steaming off just slightly and with that slight leak as the engine cools down is sucks in air from around the housing instead of coolant from the reservoir. You could also have a slight leak in the line between the radiator...

So I swapped a 16 lb radiator cap for the 20 lb...

Thermostats are not like a switch, a 192 will start opening around 182. During your casual Sunday afternoon drive it will only be about half open and you will probably be at 187-188. Ideally you want the coolant to trickle through the radiator so it can make the heat exchange. Mine, according to...

    Engine missing at 3000 rpm

The limiter is built not the EEC so “it” can not be removed like the old carburetor days. You can get a programmer and change it.

    276,573 miles and going strong

No, I had mine taken care of at 17K, under warranty. Once you approach 200K, you will have to replace your timing chains and with-in the list of things involved with that, your new tensioner's will take care of that rattle you hear.

Thats cool, Mine just rolled 250,000.

    Installing OEM Tonneau Cover?

If you are going to do it on the spot, take the bolts and the brackets at the same time. Then take the plastic plugs in your bed and stick them in the other guys bed. I think you need a 10mm socket with driver. it woud be nice to have a temporary key that matches the tonneau from the sellor...

    Exhaust Temp at Tailpipe

Sorry that you had to remove your exhaust system and return it basically back to stock. The temp is normal. Your thermostat says 90-95c which is 194-203f. It has to be that high for emissions, which would make your exhaust temps higher.

    Replacing Ball Joints

Search Youtube for Explorer Ball joint replacement. I saw 3 of them that really helped me when I did mine. If you buy your parts online and rent the tools from the parts store, you can come out alive for almost $200 and spend the rest on Dinner.:haveabeer:
