Well, after all I've been through, thought I'd share in case someone else ends up with this ailment....... Started off as possible IAC failure....slight, almost unnoticeable rough idle and engine dies after coming to a stop and a traffic light or stop sign or any general drop under 500rpm...

Thank goodness it is finally something that can be fixed...rather than the mystery ST sickness!!!! Thank you all so much. I was losing hope!:D

Supposedly the solenoid is just on it's way out, it is sticking, and they are flushing the trans Monday when I take it back in. Do you think that will be ok if I don't drive it between now and then?

Just to maybe help somebody in the future....I posted a few days ago with my ST croaking every time I came to a stop light, while braking...the Ford dealership service center replaced my IAC. Went great for a day...started up again. Called the Ford dealership back (never again) and they told...

Would that only happen intermittently? Thanks a ton for your reply:). I am becoming very concerned with the idle control part being constantly replaced by the dealership!
