Hey everyone... Just had a brain storm.. has anyone ever done an engine swap in the 1st gen ST's? I'm talking along the lines of a 4.6. It shoul dbe rather easy, no?

So, I went to the wreckers, and they said the 2007 Escape CD/MP3 player will not work in the SportTrac, becuase it has a theft lock system in it that only works with the Escape/Mariner... so I guess I'm a sitting duck now... ugh

The Wife has a 2005.. I believe thats 1st gen no? But it seems to have a bigger then 1.5DIN in there. I wanted to get a MP3/6CD Changer deck from an 07 Escape or Mariner (they have the same mounting design as the wifes truck).... is there anyway to confirm the fit on this deck?
