Following up on the alignment of the shifter indicator alignment I discovered the cheapest most fragile plastic part on the adjuster that I have ever seen on an automotive application. Lucky me, the metal replacement was available on Amazon and going in right after this cup of coffee!

Just wondering how far into the pan do the threads reach? Wouldn’t it leave some old oil in the bottom if it went significantly higher than the pan threads?
