I have the XCal2 - reprogrammed - from Wayne and there was no change noticed at all.

I went back to stock. I drive 95% city driving with about 30 daily minutes driving inside a chemical plant at 18 1/2 MPH with a lot of stop and go ( eats my MPG up). I also live in south Texas; so the AC is on.

I changed to 89 Octane and for the last 5 tanks have picked up ~ 1-1.5 MPG for city driving. No change in driving habits. I have the scangauge and according to it, I have lost the same ~ 1-1.5 MPG at 75 MPH.

Seems strange to increase on one end and lose on the other with just an octane change.

TSSS,

Remember that school started about a month ago and I can imagine that your traffic has picked up considerably. Just catching an extra red light or heavier traffic can easily cost you 1-1.5 MPG.
