'07 V8 Annoying engine noises

I've been plagued with the dreaded V8 chirping, fluttering, diesel sounds since shortly after getting my new ST. Its enough to piss off the Pope.



Been waiting 2 weeks for the Ford engineer to show. Finally went to my dealer this morning for our "meet." Of course, the engineer was a no-show. The dealer / service manager was real good about it though and will take my ST in, Oct 9. That's the closest date he could give due to loaner car availability.



Seems like he DID follow up w/ Ford hotline. He tells me Ford is "leaning towards" "getting into the engine", which means pull this off replace it, try something else. He says he needs 2-3 days to "play with it." I have my doubts but, in the interim, my spirits are improved. We'll see.

Sounds like he already has a "new ford engine"!



I'd go for a complete Trac replacement. I don't want to drive a new car that has had the engine replaced by the local dealer.

This is sure starting to give Ford a big black eye.

It' not like this is a new designed engine.
