Hey all -

Planning on gettin an 08 ST XLT, though torn between the two Silver's (Birch or Vapor). What's y'alls styling preference on this color choice? I know the Vapor is a versatile metallic in different lighting/sunlight, though the Silver Birch I like b/c it kinda matches the chrome grille/silver wheels. Thoughts?

My '07 is the silver birch and I think it looks great. Then again, I don't think the vapor silver was available in '07. I get a lot of nice comments on the looks of my Trac.

I'd probably opt for the vapor just because it's a new color for '08.

I like 'em both!

Oh Shoot, i must be color blind cause they look like the same color to me...

Or your computer monitor is not properly calibrated. ..

Welcome to the site RAB....

From the color choices with those pix shown, I'd go with the vapor silver.....for me, my #1 choice color was black. Good luck with whatever choice you decide to make and welcome to the ST Club :)

Both look great on the ST but Vapor Silver is a brand new color while Silver Birch has been around awhile. May or may not be a factor to you. Silver Birch may hide dust and dirt a little better than the slightly darker Vapor. But then again, there's less contrast on the Vapor with the black trim.

You should check them out in person under sunlight!

I sell these things for a living and everytime people look at the vapor silver they always go with that color over the silver birch. It is a much richer color if you are comparing silver vehicles.

I forgot to say that pics are in my library. Rod

Those are great exterior pics there Rod, esp. in the sunlight. The Vapor is akin to the Dark Shadow Gray on Ford's palette, it's a chameleon-like body color, b/c the metallic appears differently in various lighting. In the middle of the 08 ST brochure, the spacer spread w/ the Silver Vapor ST at a campfire is another example, it looks like it's the Silver Birch in that scenario.
