12V Lighter Plug Question

Does anyone now an easy way to get the 12V lighter plug to the left of the stereo to turn off when you turn the ST off. Currently when the engine is off it stays powered. Normally I would prefer this but I am using for a bluetooth handsfree that I would prefer to turn off when the car was turned off.

you would have to install a relay, or pull the fuse in the fusebox and feed that circuit from a switched 12v accessory in the box..

I wouldn't worry too much about the draw on a bluetooth headset if I were you, not that it answers your question (sorry).

It's as easy as cutting the constant 12V power wire and jumping onto a switched power source.

That's what I figured Tiger but I wasn't sure if there was a "special" way to disable this the way you can disable the auto locking door feature.
