I listen to Pink Floyd , Comfortably Numb (Live 8 concert) most every night when I'm fixing dinner for my wife. The dogs hate it and so does she....LOL

Interesting Eddie. Only 5 songs from Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" top 15 list.

I agree that some of the song should be on this list, but I think many more deserving songs were overlooked.

I was never a big fan of Led Zepplin or Nirvana, perhaps because I spent much of the late 1960's thru the early 1980's overseas, and I'm sure the music market was a bit different there. That may account for why I don't recall even hearing some of the songs on the top 15 list??

Also, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones had far more big hits than many of the groups, so I would have expected to see more of their music on the top 15 list.

Then consider that no Michael Jackson hits made it on the list, and yet his Thriller album was one of the best selling albums of all time.

It appears that this list was made by a couple of unemployed white guys who had nothing better to do, and who stayed stoned through the 1970's. The songs that made their list where the only songs they could remember from way back then....:bwahaha:

Eddie, thanks for posting...some songs brought back some good memories.

I agree, there are other songs I would have chose. Then again my list would be 25 to 50....:bwahaha:

Richard, like you I missed alot of new music my 22months in 'Nam. AFRTS was very regulated when it came to rock and roll.

Not bad, I claim about 9 as actually the greatest. Of course, I think they are missing a few Rush songs, but thats me. And I disagree, I think Kashmire should be first, but thats just my opinion!

Kind of surprised to hear Nirvana on this list. Doesn't seem to fit in with the rest, musically or chronologically. Not to mention that, IMHO, Smells Like Teen Spirit isn't even their best song--All Apologies is way better.
