Aloha, the bushing on the driver's door striker plate broke. NAPA gave me one that lasted one day! However, they said that it was for an Explorer. I can't find the bushings, everyplace will sell the only whole striker plate. How do I find out if what I buy is made in China or not?
God bless Ed

Ed, I have been making mine from teflon tubing. I cut it to length. Then I cut it open at an angle, and roll it onto the steel post. Lasted several years so far.

Replaced the ones on my '02 with 1/2" Plex tubing. I marked the location of the striker(s) then removed them. Disassembled the bolt from the striker and removed the old bushing. Installed the "new" bushing and reinstalled everything.

I "think" I had to removed (sand down) the diameter of the tubing just a bit so that the latch would close on the new bushing (tubing).

Have several years of use on them so far.

Thanks guys, I just bought a piece of PVC pipe. I'll try that first.
Any ideas on how to find out if a product is made in China?
Thanks God bless Ed
