2002 Explorer key fob

Does anyone know where i could find a new or slightly used key fob pretty cheap. My girlfriend's truck only has one and she wants one for a spare.

If you both have the Ford factory remote, you can program yours to her vehicle. I have done it on all my Fords with factory keyless entry. The only thing is, if one is a 3-button and the other is a 4-button, the 3-button obviously won't work the glass liftgate hatch. Also, if you accidentally trip the panic mode, it can be a pain to disable without tripping the other one.

Future reference guys, I was able to aquire 3 sets of key fobs from a dealer friend of mine. They all had different FCC Id's on the back but after reprogramming they ALL worked. One was even likely from a sporttrac cuz it only had the 3 buttons. Just so you know, they all worked, as long as you have a key fob that "looks" like the one you need, it should work.





To reprogram, and again not sure of the number of times you need to do this, but turn the ignition on (accessory, dont start the engine) and off many times quickly until the doors suddenly lock and unlock. This sudden lock unlock sequence tells you that it is now in "program mode". Once this happens, press a button on all of the key fobs you want programmed. And remember, you have to program all key fobs at once. If you only do one it will disable the other if they are not done at the same time. Hope this helps....
