for a while, but was running OK. I knew something was going to happen.
Then the noise stopped, I smelled rubber burning, and the serpentine belt was shredded.
Thank you God it was in my driveway when I was coming home from getting gas.
My 2004 Tahoe is getting a new differential, so for the time being, I'm grounded.
We are having a hurricane today, but will investigate when Milton moves on.

I think it's the water pump. Any tips for the repair are welcomed.

Water Pump is relatively easy. Consider new belt, idler pulley, tensioner, all new hoses, back flushing the heater coil, reversing those heater hoses, replacing the junk plastic TStatHousing and HeatControlValve with new metal versions. And of course new 50 50 coolant.
