A friend of my has a 2003 Mustang GT auto transmission car and everytime he goes at starting it, the RPM's fluctuate big time. I said he can disconnect the battery for an hour as well as clean the IAC or throddle body. However I don' know where they are on this car.

If anyone can help me and my friend out. It would be greatly appreciated.

They are at the same place as they are on just about every engine. Start at the air filter and go to the other end of the big, round tube. There you will find the throttle body and the IAC.

Can somebody give me a pic and some directions on stuff that i have to disconnect as well as stuff i should avoid. thx again

Be brave Patrick. Dive right in and get-r-done. Worst that can happen is a towing bill to a repair shop. Get them wrenches out and have at it. Learn while doing. It's the best way.
