2007 Explorer Unveiling @ State Fair

Wow! I went for the Friday morning press conference to introduce the new 2007 Sport Trac and came away with some disappointment in the styling of the "New"Trac for the future. After all the hype, it wasn't much change in it except an increase in size and such. I thought they would have kept it closer to the concept that was shown in the 2005 International Auto Show. Personally, I wish I could convince FORD MOTOR COMPANY to hype up this truck and kick a little --- and show the auto industry some styling cues as to what they can do. I talked to Bryan Olson, the Sport Trac Marketing Manager briefly and he gave some insight as to the upcoming Adrenalin Sport Trac model that will come out after the 2007 production model is on sale, so maybe there will be something to cheer about then. I love the Sport Trac ( I have an 01'), and was planning to buy an 07' but there is a strong chance that if they don't put something closer to the original concept for it (the 07'concept look) I may go to something else. I love buying American automobiles but we have to step it up at Ford and create more exciting products and beat the pants off everybody else, period! Thanks for letting me vent! LOL

we also planned on buying an '07 but was disapointed that it wasn't closer to the concept. Now we'll hold off and see if the adrenalin isn't more like we would like to drive. We were very pleased with Ford's participation and sponsorship in our meets. They have been great to meet and talk to and very generous with time, prizes and answering our questions.

Personally the Adrenalin version is too "street" looking for me. I like the new 2007 Sport Trac styling. It still loks like a Sport Trac not like some 'tuner-modded-up-street-truck.

One thing is for sure, I have never heard a truer statement that at Friday's dinner. There is NO standard Sport Trac. People love these vehicles and like to personalize then to varying degrees.

WOW WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP!



I have long awaited for the unveiling of the 07 Trac. I unfortunalty could not make it to the Fair on Friday...Great planning on Fords behalf ..." Lets do this in the middle of a work day so less people can come and we can save more money!" I looked and looked for the articles in the paper. When I saw the picture I almost fell flat on my back. :angry: Ford had an AWESOME looking vehicle in the 2004 F-150 witht the smooth flowing curves and the SVT model ...What a master piece! Then what did they do? RUINED IT with the square bull Sh_ _ like who ever concepted it did not know how to draw with out a ruler...LOL :unsure:



AND NOW THEY WANT TO INCORPORATE THAT LOOK INTO THE BEST LOOKING SUV ? :angry::angry::angry:I dont think so buds. You showed us the SVT Adrenalin :blinkackage at the Detriot 05 show and turned all of us on! The smooth lines, the lowered body, the biggers tires and rims, the loss of the door handles making it truley unique! We ALL, everyone from what I read in these forums, WE ALL FELL IN LOVE AND COULDNT WAIT...And now this is going to be the standard Trac...SQAURE LINES...BIG UGLY GRILL, and the look of an F-150 chopped off and Trac bed added to it...ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK OR WHAT!



I am so upset at FORD. I realize that this is the regular model of the Sportrac. But it should still...SHOULD STILL RESEMBLE THE SVT MODEL. I say this because I OWN the 2005 Adrenalin and I love it. Its special in its own ways and a rare find. So why not make the Tracs for 07 all with similar charateristics and then sell the Adrenalin package as the SVT set. This way ALL these people who wanted that look could have it.



REMEBER GUYS ...NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD THE BEST OF THE BEST...Um Um...So why cant theirs look like the best but have some down graded options that they could upgrade themselves later...Hummm GOOD QUESTION !!!



I think FORD MADE A HUGE MISTAKE....JUST READ ALL OF THESE POSTS....FORD YOU WANT MY OPINION...FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME AND I WILL SHARE WITH YOU THE SAME AS EVCERYONE ELSE HERE WANTS...THE SVT LOOK ...ARE YOU THAT STUPID...OR JUST THAT RUDE FOR IGNORING EVERYONES WISHES AND DREAMS ?

ya'll don't be so quick to judge Ford. They DO listen. Hey there Dennis & Susan! You two were sitting at the table with me. Did you hear the question I ask they guy sitting with us?
