2007 Speaker sizes

Does anyone know what size the front and rear speakers are on the 2007 ST XLT?



I am new to the Sport Trac Community and this is probably the first thing I will upgrade.

Sorry Tommy W, I can't help you with the speaker sizes, but I can be the first to welcome you to the site!

They are the same size as the '01-'05 in the doors. Either 5x7 (what I have) or 6x8 will fit in there. If you order from crutchfield they will include detailed model specefic instructions with photos, as well as speaker harness adapters to plug them into the factory harness.

Thanks for asking the question Tommy, I've been curious myself. I have an 07 limited and Crutchfield says 5x7 or 6x8. Does this mean if there are 5x7's in there now that I can put 6x8's without any cutting or protruding?

The chassis of both speakers will fit the holes in the doors and the speakers are both of a depth which the 07ST will support, so you should be golden!

yes front and rear speakers are the same size. 5x7 or 6x8 both will work. you can also get adapter plates from a few compaines so that a 6.5 will fit in there as well. thats what i did.

MPTony, (and others) which "door" speakers do you have or reccomend for your ST? I'm not interested in a custom speaker box or anything like that, just factory replacements.

Hi,

I changed the rear speaker in my 2007 Limited with the Audiophile - sounds great. I used Pioneer 3-way 6x8 speakers, they bolt right in. The front speakers in the Audiophile are already component midrange and tweeters.
