I have 2008 Sport trac limited v6. I have the manual A/C controls with the knobs. If i buy a digital dual air control box is it as simple as plug and play or is there more to it than that?

How is it that you have a Limited and have manual hvac?
The answer to your question is no. While it can be converted it is cost prohibitive. You are better off buying a vehicle that has it already.

I have a Limited but the Adrenalin model...in that year it was optional to add the digital option as it was not part of the Limited package when I ordered my 2008 Adrenalin from the factory.

Window sticker for my 08 Adrenalin shows option "Limited Electronics Package" for $545 that includes electronic HVAC and 4 line message center. +1 on l1tech's advice to not attempt a conversion. You'd spend a month of Sundays and a lot of money doing it.
