2010 Limited roof rack

I looked in the projects and see roof rack removal but my '10 does not have the exposed screws like my '07 had. There is a plastic cover over everything. I tried to pry it the open but it is pretty tight and stiff. I don't want to break it because I might want to put it back on in the future. This was going to be my Saturday morning project before I head to Lowes to get plugs, now I'm on hold. Anyone else taken off a 2010 roof rack?



I'm also going to Radioshck to get some green flush mount LEDs so I can have my own ambient lighting. I'm jealous of my wifes '10 Escape's adjustable ambient lighting.

I got them plastic covers off... 1- cracked across the top; 1- broke the plastic holding the push pin; 1- push pin stayed on the frame; 1- torx bit stripped and had to be drilled and easy outted. :angry: For all that effort, I love the new look! :driving:



On to my $11 5-LED Radioshack green ambient lighting!

Oh well after all that work and I must say a professional looking install on the LED's- they are very dim. :sad:
