[QUOTE="Larry Michael, post: 1041835, member: 71722"] Really? You're on a Sport Trac forum. The Sport Trac was not a cheap vehicle when new. It is not a pickup truck. If I wanted a pickup truck there are lots to choose from out there. If I wanted something more offroad capable I'd get a Jeep. (Oh, that's right, I already have one!) Not sure what part of this community's love-affair with the way the Sport Trac was designed as an SUV with a pickup bed you missed, despite being on here for 15 years. Yeah, it's a tough crowd. We like our niche vehicle. The new tricks you refer to require accepting a vehicle that addresses a very different primary use or market price segment. I want a vehicle that is comfortable for my 6'3" body to drive cross country for 12 hours in a day, an engine that will tow a decent load and climb hills at high altitude without dropping down to 2nd gear or winding up the turbo for hours at a time. I want a comfortable ride, not a pounding one. I want some creature comforts. I want better legroom in the back seat. I want back seats that fold down, not up. I want an electric rear window with a vent position. I want selectable 4WD and low range so I can explore that dirt back road when I want to. And I'm willing to pay more than $25,000 for all of that if I buy a new vehicle. In the mean time I'll continue to enjoy what I have that meets all of those requirements and take good care of it.
