...that's $97.95 after $25 rebate.

Saw the deal on BUY.COM, which I recommend.

Thought others might be interested (NO I AM NOT SELLING THIS NOR AFFILIATED WITH BUY.COM IN ANY WAY, YOUR DEAL IS WITH THEM IF YOU OPT TO BUY):

I've been debating on a new drive, internal or external. Saw this item as well. BTW, Seagate now owns Maxtor.

That's a good deal too, Casey, but with only $8 difference I would take a $25 rebate on something purchased on BUY.COM vs a $60 rebate with TigerDirect any day of the week....Tiger and its sellers seem REALLY slow in fulfilling rebates, IMHO.

THR-I agree but my experience with rebates is that they take so long, I just forget about them and when the rebate comes it's a new gadget for me.

Also, the seagate offers firewire and an 8mb buffer. Just looking at performance as well.
