I wasn't aware these were so inexpensive. I wonder how much power I could generate if I covered the south-facing portion of my garage roof with these? :cool:

Enough power to charge three cell phones and save about 3 bucks a year.

If you're serious about saving money a solar hot water collector system will do it, provided you have a suitable climate.



Solar power panel technology has a looooong way to go.
 
The systems we have installed here will only pay for them selves after 10-12 years and thats even with all the rebates that are offered....



They are good, BUT NY law is that you can NOT store power on your property, SO at night you using the power company any way....



Yes your bill is cut to about 20% but with the overall cost it takes a long time to re coupe it back..

Dang, I need something to power the clothes dryer for free. I opened a second office and the utilities are not included. One-room office and I'm getting hosed by the power company for the commercial peak rate for $159 a month because of the dryer. The building is all-electric, no gas.
