Anyone else nail that 4x4 wooden post in the road south of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel this morning? HEHEHE, the Trac plummled right over it, but I counted at least 5 cars pulled over on the side of 95 with flat tires. Sigh, she's probably deflating in the parking lot as we speak.

I hit a log once with my neon. Blew out my tire. The van behind me got it wedged under her. She pulled over, got out and kicked it out from under the car. Got back in and drove off, all the while making horrible noises and spewing radiator fluid all over the cement. It wasw kinda funny.

Yet another reason for skid plates.

Except that I sliced a tire on a skid plate that fell off a ford explorer. Jackass must have been one of those "oh i can install it myself" guys like me.

Except here in NYC we have those DIY'ers that do everything wrong and never heard of loctite, but saw a friend do it once.

Straddled a deer years ago in a BMW; actually peeled the hide off the top surface of the animal (shoulder I think) and stuck it to the muffler. I didn't see it when I looked later, and it "cured" there over time. One day I actually smelled hot leather and found it under the car.

My Mom attempted to miss a stick of pine pulpwood which fell off a hauler in front of her, on I-10 going thru Mobile. The short log did incredible damage to the underside of her Buick Skylark. She was able to stop along the shoulder...transmission, rear end, many other elements were destroyed. She was fortunate!

I hit a curio cabnet that flew out of the back of pickup one day while driving to work. No damage to the vehicle but glass and wood flew all over the place.

Biggest thing I ever saw in the road was a couch that some dumbass didn't tie down properly. It was in the center lane of South I-35 in OKC. Luckily, no one was killed by it.

I've seen two dead humans laying on the interstate too, in the two years I've lived here. People drive here like they're filming a "Mad Max" movie.

A piece of rebar, large enough that I thought it was a piece of heater hose, came flying up and whacked the front of my Dad's 1978 Ford pickup as I was driving one day. The hood on those older Ford's was about 6 inches tall, and it put a spectacular dent right at the front on the driver's side. Just made me glad I was in a truck and not in something shorter, since I'm sure it would have come through the windshield!
