What is the BTC timing to be set at. 350 V8 motor. Also how do you or what do you disconect. To read base timing. The mechanical distributor is not vacuum controled advance.

Thanks...

There is going to be a tan/black single wire connector that needs to be unplugged to put it into timing mode. Look where the wiring harness comes up the firewall on the passenger side, usually there is a black cover that covers up some electricial connections, remove that cover and hopefully you will find the connector...it is usually in the verticial part of the wiring harness under that cover. If it's not there look around the distributor area just keep in mind that it might actually be stuck inside a wiring loom. Base timing is 0 degrees.
