Hi all, I have a 2003 Sport Trac with a 2003 A.R.E. Z series cap and I love the set -up. I am having trouble with water getting into the cab when the cab window is down and when the window is up the water is still getting into the bed. I have two german shorthaired pointers that I transport and for their happiness I had the front window taken out of the cap. I know that at the time I purchased the cap that they didn't have any of the inflatable rings to seal between the cab and the cap, especially since the window is no longer on the cap. I have contemplated some other type of seal between the cab and the cap, looking for any input on this from the group. Thanks in advance for your help.

First, Welcome to the site Jon.

Have you checked to see if your local A.R.E. dealer could make some kind of flexable seal? You might want to see if you can find a rear cab spoiler that would go over the gap and protect from water intrusion.

This is what we have for our dog. Outward Hound Automobile Back Seat Hammock Protector.

Thanks Rodger, I am planning to go by the dealer later this week and hopefully they have something that will not break the check book. I have seen that hammock before, it might have saved the interior of my 94 Non Sport Trac Explorer. That trashed interior was the very reason I opted for the Sport Trac. I have read alot of the threads on here, this place is a wealth of information and assistance. I might try replacing my front brake pads :)
