The wife and I took a one day/night trip up into the Sierras just into the Yosemite National Forest on Saturday night. The V8 just had the camper brake installed and I wanted to test it. Everything went well, didn't even know the camper was behind me, and on the way down, it no longer felt like the camper was 'pushing' me down the hill. Just one pic, taken at dusk,,,,,,,,we had a nice night, and got to test the heater in the E2. Fleetwood makes a great pop-up these days. Anyone considering a purchase should check them out. [Broken External Image]::rolleyes:

Rodger, no, this was taken at about 4500 ft. The campground was closed for the season, but didn't block the drive to the sites,,,,,,,so we just drove right in and set up. There were several others there who took advantage of the 'free' camping! I think it was called "Yosemite Springs".

Looks like Fun..

And not know it was there. is a hell of alot better then thinking it is, but it is not there..

Hope you enjoy it next year too.

What size is your popup? Mine is 10 feet. I never feel it behind me, even going downhill. Yours must be pretty heavy if you felt it before installing brake controller.

PS Mine has no brakes at all. Exxcept those on the ST. And Nissan Quest when I pull with it.

The Evolution E2 is 22'10" long closed, about 26' when opened up. Wt is approx 3680lbs unloaded. It was recommended that I have the brakes with that weight, and the trailor came with the brakes. I just moved the controller from my old vehicle(Ranger) when I sold it. Just had it recently installed in the new ST. I pulled it once w/out the controller installed, and didn't want it to damage my discs on the new truck.

Another satisfied Sport Trac and Fleetwood owner here........

We purchased our 07 Sport Trac V8 and Fleetwood Cheyenne in July and have camped four times since then. Our first trip was to the Florida Caverns State Park which was about a 6 hour drive (after putting 600 miles on the truck before the tow) and the Trac handled it great. Most of the time it felt like the trailer was not even there.
