adding a amp to factory cd player

I want to add an amp to my factory cd player. I already have the door speaker replaced and the amp installed. I need to know what wires to hook to my line converter to get a signal. I would like to use the wires behind the cd player. I duno what ones are for the speakers. And how to hook them to the converter correctly.

I found it easier to use the wires in the floor trim going to the back speakers and place the converters in the panel in the back.....

Do I just need 2 speaker wires to hook to the converter?

I have a 2 channel amp running 4 speakers and 1 converter with 1 set of outputs.

Ok, last question. So I need to hook 2 wires from the left side and 2 wires from the right side to the convertor. Correct?
