Can this be done? I stopped in at my local Ford dealer and they said it couldnt be. Just wanted to get your opinion not sure if someone could look this info up for me. My vin number is 1FMEU53E08UA99045. Thanks any advice you could provide.

May have to do an aftermarket one. The Sync system would be near impossible to install to make it all work. I mean, you could put a stock unit in, but all you would have would be radio and maybe the nav. Someone will write in about aftermarket units I'm sure. Bob

You can buy a aftermarket one. It has a ford symbol when the headunit is turned on and it looks factory. Go to ebay type in ford explorer navigaton. The units will come up in the listings.

It can be done without too difficulty as long as you currently have SYNC. The hardest part will be finding someone to configure the electronics to work properly in your vehicle but there are people on ebay who can do this for you.
