Out of curiosity, is the steering wheel of a '07 ST already wired for the radio controls? Since the blank plate is already there, I was wondering if I could merely buy the control pod (I guess that is what it is called) and hook it up? Just curious. Thanks - Art

I'm not sure why your asking the question but my '07 is wired with the factory controls.

I would imagine that a wheel without the button control would not have the harness into the steering wheel but that's just my guess.

I seriously doubt it would be cost effective to add factory steering wheel controls to the base model steering wheel. Not only is the wiring harness for the steering wheel probably not included, I doubt the wiring harness from the steering column to the radio would be included. Not sure it's not there, but I doubt it.......

i added the SWC's to my 07 vehicle. heres what i did. bought the bezel with the controls from the ford dealership. two 7mm bolts removed the airbag. unplugged all plugs and repinned the clock spring harness to accomidate the SWC's. i was not running the factory radio at the time i was adding the PEWSIAKJ module made by Peripheral Electronics to be able to control my alpine radio. the wires from the clock spring to the radio are already present so all wiring i did was at the steering wheel. since the bezel i got had the buttons for the temp control and my vehicle did not have that i added a few resistors and made those do presets. i also had to make my own harness from the clock spring to the bezel as none of the ford stealerships could get it. any questions feel free to email me.....
