They always use us whenever there is a safety issue simply because they think we will be more relaxed and handle the situation in the event it becomes a large issue, (crash landing to mentally unbalanced person).

Before I left to start my own business, I worked in a psychiatric hospital where I had training to deal with crazy people. Direct patient care wasn't my job but I was sort of extra help if needed and you'd never know when you'd be faced with a situation. I rarely bring that up with anyone, but if need be I can flatten most people pretty quick.

Show up wearing desert camos, military orders and an M-16 and there are no problems.



Personally, I am glad the regulations are so tight for people carrrying ofr only their personal preference. There are too many crazies out there these days.

I am not afraid of people carrying a gun legally. Those people have the right to carry a gun.



The ones I am afraid of are the ones that are not law abiding citizans.

I'm glad to know we have people like Coastie doing their fine job.



I have wondered about those chemical analyzers in the past. I have mistakenly used one of my range bags to take on a trip before. The bag was at the INDOOR range with me, packed with 7.62x39 (for AK and SKS), and 9mm Mak Wolf brand ammo, plus WWB .40S&W, Korean 30-06 and various other ammo in varying conditions. When we were done, yup, the empty bras went straight into the bag to rattle around leaving trace amounts the entire time.



No hits.



I asked the screener how big of a deal it would be about having the bag at the range... typically it's not he says. Surprised as all get out.



I don't take that bag on a plane anymore in any case.
