I just finnished installing 4 Alpine 5x7 Type R's.

Have an Alpine 4 channel amp that I am going to wire into the deck for now and need to find the color codes for the speaker wiring. does anyone have that for an 03 CD/Cassette stero?

also, where has most been locating their amps? I have noticed some remove the storage door behind the seat and mount in there and that might be what I have to do but want to know what options are out there.

thx all.

don't know we would do without this site.

there isn't very many options for when installing an amp. most have either behind the seat, or under it. my plan, when i get the rest of the stuff i need, is to mount the amps in the ceiling right above the rear window. i have ppi pcx amps, and the bottom of them now have a clear fiber glass cover, and if i can mount them recessed into the ceiling, so one will only be able to see the internals of the amps.

i'm not sure what the RCA wiring converter is, i have some weird wiring thing going from my alpine IVA310 to my OEM adrenalin amp.

Mine is in the same place as Griff's. Nice and neat and out of harm. I can't remember what the wire colors are, but I have them written down at home. I called the local "installer" to find out the wire colors. May be worth a shot for you to give them a call. If not, I'll see if I can find the paper when I get home.;)

Hi,

I think you have the same speakers and amp as me.

if you look at the above photo, you can see the amp in my 07. I have since "hung" the amp from the child safety seat hook you see above it. the amp on on a sheet of plexiglass with a belt hooked into the saftey seat hook.

as far as the pinout, I believe you can download it from crutchfield, if not, let me know. I can find the sheet I used with mine somewhere.

cheers,

axel
